City of Mount Gambier has unveiled a bold advocacy plan, outlining its vision to develop its reputation as South Australia’s world-class regional capital and a driving force for economic, social and cultural transformation across the Limestone Coast.

Mayor Lynette Martin said the plan sets out a clear roadmap for partnership and investment.

“Mount Gambier is at the centre of a regional market that connects two states. With scale, skills and strategic location, we are ready to drive South Australia’s growth from the Limestone Coast,” Mayor Martin said.

“Backing Mount Gambier backs South Australia. Investment here multiplies benefits across the Limestone Coast and the state.”

Council is calling for strong partnerships with the State Government and key stakeholders to deliver transformative projects that will accelerate growth and community wellbeing.

“We know what our city needs to become a world-class regional capital. We are laying the foundations and we are ready to build.”

“This plan calls for co-investment to accelerate projects that connect our CBD, strengthen community hubs and showcase our city’s culture and events,” Mayor Martin said.
